LSD for 240z in 280z?
#3
Scooby R160 LSDs work fine in non-stock cars too.
R Series Diffs usually blow out the spider gears in a 2-pinion diff. Most open R180s are 2 pinion (LSD R180s tend to be 4 pinon) most open R200s are 4 pinion and most open R160s are 2 pinion, but every LSD R160 I've seen has been 4 pinion. I know that people have successfully raced these diffs in Zs with little problem. The R180 is a little wider than the R160 however, and the dust shelds on the half shafts won't seat completely(the splined stubs are longer); you can try 510 axles or take your chances with the exposed oil seal.
