Re: making a 76 280Z turbo
You CAN but you will bel imited to less than 7psi boost.
I am running a stock L28E (N42 block/head) with a T3 & 1G-GTE intercooler, Haltech E6A ECU, MSD 6A. 98RON fuel is required & it runs like a dream. Power is ~200hp, I've been running it as a daily driver like this for nearly 3 years.
That's a pretty short list of the things that I've done to the engine, but yes, it's doable & reliable.
If I was going to do the same thing again, I'd be taking 0.050" off the piston crowns to lower the comp a bit (stock is ~8.4:1).

Re: making a 76 280Z turbo
Is there any difference between a 280zx inlet manifold for a turbo and non turbo? Do they injectors have different ratings? How about the air flow meter I remember someone saying there slightly different and of course the distributor someone said there different. I guess what i'm asking is what's the differences between a non turbo injected L28 and a blown one.
