My 260Z got owned by a Hyundai
I am giving some respect to a fourth generation 3.3l Hyundai Sonata..
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hyundai_Sonata
We had some fun last night, and he burned me off the line, and with a roll on...
So... I am really going to kick into gear and get some work done on the Z. Need to find that head so I can start work.
I had no idea that the new Sonata came with a 250hp V6. He has done some work to it. But nothing internal. Just bolt on stuff. It was not an all out stomping, but he had a lot more than I did. That car is a real sleeper. I was surprised.
I can tell you for a fact that it will do 155mph...
I guess I will keep to the Mustangs, and Camaros. lol

A Hyundai is a Hyundai is a Hyundai... once a piece, always a piece. I worked at a Nissan dealer for 3 years that also sold Kia / Hyundai. All the mechanics hated them, all the salesmen hated them. They have a horrible reputation (even though people say they are getting better, they are still crappy).
My bro in law bought a brand new Hyundai last year. With less than 5k miles it had starting probs. Hyundai said to leave it with them for 2 weeks and they'll see what they can do. They took it to another mechanic & had it fixed for several hundred dolla.

Not saying it's not a cheep pos. Just saying that it's a fast pos. hahaIf you don't think so, find a guy with a lightly modded gen 4, and he will give you a run for your money.
I think my 34 year old Datsun did a good job last night. I was not upset at all. I rode in the Hyundai first, and knew it was fast.

At least you can say your car will rack up more miles than that Hyundai. It will be in a junk yard in 10 years.
Also... I love how Hyundai is so unoriginal that they try to make all their cars look like the luxury cars (Mercedes, Saab, BMW, Lexus, Honda, Acura). Each car is a knock off of another make car.

lol, nismo you can compare any car to any other car. lol. they all look very similare now theres no such thing as being original styling anymore. also, hyundai dropped the tiburon and put into production the genesis coupe. rwd dohc aluminum V8 sports car. that will be the new sleeper of hyundai. and i also got to play in a new genesis at my uncles work and they are actually VERY nice. same sound system as a rolls royce all controls are on a LCD screen with navi or voice comand. and the biggest trunk ive ever seen lol. also with the price tag of like 40k. they are trying to be the new luxury car to buy and with the gas mileage they make they are growing very fast. id never own one unless i was given a genesis coupe once it came out but im still going to give them props. my sisters car has never had a problem but my dads is, so honestly, i think its just typical you either get a perfect car or one that will give you a few problems in the beginning nothing POS made about them just luxury and price cautious trying to be combined.

I think people will trust the company once they have been going for a while. DSM made some fast cars, but they are also disposable. Hyundai will become something more than a turd once they make themselves known to be. So far I don't hear about them having the reputation for running forever like some Nissan/Datsuns, and Toyotas.

Anyway, I think it's time to go turbo. After driving a 72' 240Z with a triple Weber setup I was slightly disappointed. It was an 82 block, I wish I knew what kind of head it was, but they had the full triple setup. It was quick and had some go, but in the end I felt my L28ET in my ZXT felt like it had a bit more pull and go than the weber setup. I would have purchased the car had the body not been in horrible shape. The best was when the guy was telling me that had to be the fastest Z car I'd ever driven.
