mystery wheels...
I saw a 280Z today that had the rims I want...
they are like "turbine" style, but either the offset or the rim width makes them just past flush with the fenders on the early style Z.
I think they are stock, but I dont know what year or model... can you help?
here is a link to a pic, but they looked different than this, or mabye its the ride height screwing me up.

thanks

Re: mystery wheels...
I had a set of those on a 77 2+2 that I used to own. Don't recall if they were stock. Good luck finding them. I would shoot a email to the guys at N.O.W (Nissans Only Wrecking). The URL for their site is http://www.ninfiniti.com/. They should be able to tell you if its a stock wheel or not and if they have some on their wrecked vehicles. You can probably fax them a pic also.
Hope this helps

Hi
I may have the wheels you are looking for, they where made by Superior. The shape was known as "Western". Superior also makes OEM wheels for nissan,so they might have been a dealer option.
I will try to post a pic,if I can find a good one.
I have also seen older Ford vans+trucks with the same wheels.

Re: mystery wheels...
I've always called them Hurricanes. I think Western is the manufacture. Good luck finding them, though. I bet they don't make 'em any more and may not even be in business.
Try posting a WANTED add on this and other Z car sites.
