No Spark
Can someone help me out here , I have a '70 240z with the stock ignition system , it have new poits , new condenser , new distributor cap , new rotor , new coil . There's electricity at the positive (+) side of the coil , and if I check the negative side of the coil , once the positive is conected there's electricity too , the negative from the coil goes to the distributor right ? . Oce I turn the ignition to on there's electricity at the positive side of the coil , when I turn it off there's no electricity at the positive side of the coil . I been reading or looking at the wire diagram of the car and everything looks right . What could be the problem ? please can someone help me , I'll apreciated thanks....

Re: No Spark
wen the key is on B+ should be at the coil pos. then the points supply the ground for the neg. if you get B+ at the neg. side than the pionts are open or ther is no path to ground. check for continuity from the coil neg. to the eng. with the points closed if not a wire is broken, missing or the points are bad. make sure the wire that grounds the braker plate is in place and good inside the dist. you sould be able to make the coil fire by giving it a ground and then removing the ground the coil should fire.
