Our old Z's don't have 17 characters in the VIN number. I can't find a way to search the vehicle history, just curious if someone knew where you could run a search on our old Z's.

 

As far as I know the only sort of history you'll find on our old cars is in receipts or documented history by the the previous owners of the car.

I believe the VIN standard didn't happen until 1981 or something. I read about it on wikipedia once.

 

That's what I read too. I was just hoping that there was some kind of old search. haha

 

yeah the old z's had chassis numbers not vins.

 

snw gave me a number to a nissan hotline or something one time, when i was trying to get recall info. i told them the number off the car and they told me who bought it, where it was bought, asked me a lot of update info, and then told me there was no recall. not helpful to me, but it was very impressive.

i searched and searched for it but i couldn't find it. as said, it may not even cover cars of that age though
