I painted my old Accord in my driveway too. I guess silver/grey is the garage painters color of choice. Mine only costed $40 though w/ supplies. I used industrial enamel.

 

for just the gallon of paint.... 104 dollars. with the clear coat, activator, sand paper, and reducer, almost 200 dollars. already had the guns. with the clear on though its darker now, so its not quite the same color as yours, very similare. its actually a mustang color if you want to know the truth. look at the 03-current dark silver mustangs, thats the color.

 

I like that color. Ive seen it in person on quite a few Stangs. I bet it the finished product will look kick ***! Hell, it already look kick ***.

 

Is it possible to get "factory matched" color so i can touch up my "copper"? WHo would I get it from?

 

mmmm... idk about that one. you could do it the right way get a little spray gun and go to an auto paint shop with your paint code they can make you up a quick pint or something.

 

updated "finished" pictures. it still needs a buffing and a waxing, this is just raw after the final clear pictures. its soo smooth it doesnt even need to be sanded, just buffed a 2 or 3 times. its so nice.......

lol.... yes, "paint shop snw's garage" im sorry guys, is spamming bad???? once again though i prove i cant take pics very well, i shoulda played with the lighting, but it looked good on the camera, stupid camera. if i get it buffed and waxed the way i want tommorow ill take some out door pics and cross my fingers......




and then maybe i can do the 260 lol. ill have twins!!!! on full resto one "full" performance.... man, i should combine these two cars into one super car. steal the bumpers off the 260 and the motor, put in the 280 since i only have one set of springs and struts... stupid decisions!!!!! if only i was out of college and had a real job, i could jsut do both.

Snwy, do any of your cameras have time exposure? That takes pretty good pictures in 'garage' lighting. Use a tripod of course like Mr Pick says.
