Ok a Blow off valve but where to put it?
Hi I´m just about to buy a BOV but where should it be inserted in the system for proper functioning? Is it just a easy bolt on job or what ? I´m thinking of an installation that would make the BOV release the pressure in the suroundings instead of in the system, but would it really stuff up my airflowmeter that bad ? ! I know about the anoying psss sound but I kinda like it, anyway I´m trying it out ! Any pictures about this BOV installation would be apreciated very much!
Thanks in advance

from what i know...i has to be welded on to the "j" pipe...the pipe between the TB and the turbo. I'm actually in the process of getting one welded onto mine...i'm having it welded right where it bends after the turbo...near the scoop in the hood. I don't know of anyone who makes a "bolt-on" kit for it, but it isn't hard to find someone to weld it for you. Just wondering...what does it do to the AFM? how does it clog it up?

Yup, on the J-pipe is correct, just be sure that you have clearance from the heat shield for the brake master cylinder. Cost only 30 bucks to have it welded. A blow off won't clog your AFM, it only makes the car run super rich for a couple of seconds before going back to normal. On the MAF cars like the Z31 and Mitsu Eclipes, it will cause them to stall and stumble more. Seems the flapper door system isn't as picky.
