clear coats come with practice.. and PATIENCE.

I've laid some really nice base coats down just to get !@#$ it all up when I get excited and lay the clear down too thick. Then it sags.

nope not really. he has been far far away from this car still trying to find a job closer to here. but in the mean time I sold him a ZX BMC and a hood release cable, so i believe he got the BMC in but had problems threading the rear lines into it, forget if he got that resolved, and just needs a better bleed job and should hit the road. i wanna see if this thing pulls as good or better than my 260Z. that car pulled good but i always felt it lost proper fuel pressure at the high RPMs due to the lame-o carb style fuel pump lines (aka same diameter in and out)

The BMC is installed completely. As I was attempting to bleed the brakes, I discovered the hardline feeding the rear brakes was pissing fluid all over the place. Haven't had a chance to fix that because, as Eric said, I've been away from the car (even further now that I'm near Dayton, Ohio, and the car is still in Chicago).

I was back in town a few weeks ago for an interview and went to fire the car up, only to find that the fuel pump is not kicking in. I have yet to determine if it's wiring or the pump itself, but I have plans set up for each.

And as it turns out, on Friday a company I've been interviewing with in Chicago says they want to bring me on board. The company is putting together an offer, and they're hoping for me to start on Sept. 13th, so I will finally be able to move forward with the car.

So there's your status update. My apologies for not seeing the request sooner - I should probably subscribe to this thread, since I don't check this part of the forum all too often.
