Points Gap??
Anyone know what the points gap is supposed to be on a 76 260z.., with a stock distributer
It was way to close today and it couldn't idle proply, now it idles fine, but under load it can't rev high like i want it.. only to around 4500rpm... and i pretty sure its the gaps
I'm pretty sure it wouldn't make any differance that my car has roundtops but just incase I'll tell u guys that...

Re: Points Gap??
According to the Haynes manual, if the distributor has a mechanical breaker assembly (a D609-56A dist.) the breaker gap is 0.018 to 0.022 inches (0.45 to 0.55 mm)
If the distributor is one of the D6F3 transister-types, the gap is 0.012 to 0.016 (0.30 to 0.40 mm).
If the distributor is one of the D6F3 transister-types, the gap is 0.012 to 0.016 (0.30 to 0.40 mm).
