really bad take offs...
Is it just me, or is it really hard to get the right amount of accelerator when taking off or changing gears? I don't know if it is just taking me a while to get used the car (last car i drove was a 94 land cruiser), but I either have to take off flat out, or really slowly, otherwise it is not smooth. Also changing gears i find it really hard to get smooth as the throttle is not very linear. There is no median between not at all and a fair bit of throttle. It is really firm to press at first, but then it loosens up the further i depress it.... Is it just me?

It's just you 8-). Nah My Z used to have a really hard to press accelerator but I found it was just the springs on the carbs that make it snap back when u release the accelerator. I think you just need to get used to the car because I used to be able to make my Z really smooth. I'm now driving a newer run around Corolla that's fuel injected and fwd and it's really touchy I find I like the Z's inline 6 motor and rwd setup much better in my opinion.
