Re: Rear wheel bearing
i have done it but the torque for the nut is like over 200 foot pounds 225 i think and then some times the stub axle wont come out with out a slide hammer so unless you have a large torque wrench and a slide hammer you might get some one that does.

Re: Rear wheel bearing
DONE IT . I HIRED A LARGE SOCKET SET AS THE NUT IS QUITE BIG ,AND A SLID HAMMER TO GET THE SHAFT OUT . TOOK AWHILE WITH A LOT OF HAMMERING. BUT YOU SHOULD BE ABLE..MAKE SURE YOU HAVE SOME DECENT SOCKET EXTENSION ARMS.AS THE NUT IS VERY TIGHT.
1-REMOVE WHEEL
2-REMOVE DISC COVER
3-REMOVE 1/2 SHAFT
4-REACH IN REMOVE BIG NUT
5 SCREW ON SLIDE HAMMER AND SLIDE HAMMER OUT SHAFT.
6-REMOVE BEARING -REPLACE
7-REFIT SHAFT WITH 1 BERRING ON
8- FIT INNER BERRING -TAP IN WITH SOCKET OVER BEARING HOUSING.
9- SCREW ON BIG NUT AND ----TIGHTEN WELL----
10- SCREW ON EVERYTHING ELSE.

Re: Rear wheel bearing
what EVILZ said. If you have an impact gun, makes life a HECK of a lot easier. The spindle nut is 27mm in diameter than needs about 200-240 ft lbs of torque. It's also a good idea to get new nuts, and the original ones can be damaged due to wear and the fact that nissan made them the first 'self locking' nuts. They get narrower towards the top and lock the threading in.
you can buy inner and outer bearings from kragen.com:
http://www.partsamerica.com/SelectPa...earing%2C+Rear
part numbers RW-116 and RW-117, by BCA. These are made in japan, running these in my 240z. If there's a shop around, see if they'll press the bearings in.
