sitting z .....
My '83 ZX has been sitting for about two years (I know, I should be shot....). Then I decided to drive it to work just to keep it running. It did just fine for about two weeks, then the problems started: Lack of acceleration after 4500 RPM (no matter what gear, the engine seemed to stall out). Now when I go out on weekends to crank her up, she bitches.....I mean misses (#6 cilinder) and I have to keep some throttle on for it to even run. My guess is.....New head gasket (I can feel puffs of air over the #6 cylinder), new valve cover gasket, adjust all valves, and new fuel pump.
Am I on the right track, or is there something I'm missing. I just want to drive her around right now. Mods come later.
I welcome all advice.

Re: sitting z .....
Just normal stuff, I mean if its been sitting Ide replace the plugs and Wires, allot of times the wires get brittal and break inside, and #6 may not be conducting, but I wouldn't drive my car like that, You'll break more stuff very fast. New cap and rotor would probably be in order, if you dont want to replace it at least sand it down with fine paper to get better contact.
Anyway good luck,
