Skyline swap?

Re: Skyline swap?
depends which skyline. engine wize, rb20det from the r32 gts-t, and the rb25det from r33-4 gts-t are almost a direct bolt in. you'd only have to procure 200zr motor mounts (that's a 300zx z31 with the rb20det motor commonly found in japan and australia), that as I understand, bolt up directly to stock mounting locations.
And if you want detailed info on RB26dett motor swap (skyline gt-r), you can find it here:
HybridZ link
Other things to include in the swap would have to be either a pressurized tank, or an external high rate electric fuel pump, custom drive shaft, custom tranny crossmember, wiring harness (you could use one out of a skyline), air/fuel and boost management, cooling system, etc

Re: Skyline swap?
Just a clarification - the 200ZR wasn't released in Australia, neither was the 200ZX or 300ZR.
The RB motor-gearbox is about 30mm longer than the L series assembly. The biggest problem with this conversion in the USA is that the engines are not well known. Australians have been using them for conversions for 6-odd years (you don't want to know how much an R32 RB20DET was in 1993...), but we had the family from 1986 onwards. This has meant that there are a lot more people familliar with the design.
