spark plug/plug wires
has anybody noticed a difference in power/fuel consumption with different spark plugs and or wires? i know some companies advertise the least resistance etc...just wondering if anybody has PROOF that it's worth the extra money...

Re: spark plug/plug wires
I have had the best luck running standard NGK plugs in the L motor.
Tried a few other brands , but the car just didn't run the same. My car
sits alot between events , so I try to keep fresh plugs in it.

Re: spark plug/plug wires
Cooler burning plugs are meant for a points distributor because a coil for a 260Z is less voltage as to not burn out the points. You won't nessisarily get more power by changing the plugs unless you put in an electroinc distributor and a hotter coil. All three units work together as a system.
Like when I changed my 620 truck to an electroinc distriubutor, I added a hotter coil but did not know to ask for a different type of spark plug. The plugs kept fouling out pretty quickly untill someone told me to use a spark plug meant for electronic igntion, not points! :-)
