SU's ever flood in hard turns?
I just bought a 73 240 Z with the flattops and was talking to a friend of mine whose father used to race MG's with SUs. I told him that I would eventually switch to the SUs and he said that the MG crowd was constantly giving up the SUs for the Weber down drafts because of the SUs flooding during hard cornering. Has anyone with autocross experience ever experienced the flooding that he is talking about? Thanks!

I've never had any problems like that. I throw my Z around pretty hard sometimes. Now more than I use to with new suspension. Down drafts are nice though after 2500 rpm. My old ones acted kinda like turbo lag, till you got it up to 2500, then it was on. Stick with SU's.

The only probelm i"ve heard of with side-drafts is running dry in hard corners, rather than flooding, I've seen it happen on the auto cross track a few times... but not everyone had that problem either... not sure how to solve it.
