Re: ur opinions on 260-2+2
Don't lament it too much! Yes the car looks long, but to tell you the truth, the only 2+2's that "don't look too long" start with the ZX's and go from there. Think of it this way: the 260Z is the rarest of the Z cars and having it a 2+2 is even rarer still! If this is a decent car you bought, there is nothing to be ashamed of. How about adding another Z to your stable as well?

Re: ur opinions on 260-2+2
Well I bought a 240z when I was 17. It's been the love of my Z life. Anyway it had major rust under the battery and I couldn't drive it so I bought a 260z 2+2 to drive around till I could restore the 240z, I wasn't gonna throw away the 240z and I have always prefered the look of the 240z. Anyway my 2+2 has a front spoiler and it looks very tuff. I sometimes dislike the look of the 2+2 and have recently put an add in the paper to sell it and concentrate on my true love the 240z. I find the 2+2 can look very effective on certain angles and I've had so much fun driving my friends around in the car that I'm glad I did buy it. However I feel I've had my fun and now I'm gonna concentrate on the car that will make me happy in the end. I think honestly the 2+2 is nice and some look really nice. I think a rear spoiler can make a big diff to round off the back anyway photos of a car never do justice I suggest having a look at some 2+2's that have been completed and make up your mind from there. For me though I'll always love the 240z's shape over the 2+2 styling.
Let me know what ya do.

2+2
My first Z was a 280zx 2+2 that I bought in high school. I still own it today. Although I perfer the 2-seater look, this 2+2 has been very fun as a sports car and useful for some passengers. Although there isnt' much room for them inside. I have attached some pictures of a 260Z 2+2

also I haven't got around to posting my car under readers rides because I have to get some photo's developed but I have a buddy with a nice 260z 2+2 on this site check out his ride.

I agree with you, Interacer..
When I was 16, I saw this beautiful light semi-metallic blue '78 280Z 2+2 in a used car lot for $2100. I wanted it sooo bad and drove by it everyday to see it. I went in to check it out and thought it was just soo cool, back seat and everything! Only thing I didn't like is there was a big sign on the windshield that said "4-Cyl". I made them fix that right then!! ANYWAYS when I went down to get it, they already sold it!!! I was so upset.. but once I saw the non-2+2.. I was GLAD they sold it from under me. Ever since, I have not liked the 2+2 and am confident that if I got that 2+2 I would have sold it. I ended up with a beautiful black '78 with Center Lines in damn near perfect condition.. a much better deal.. in the newspaper for $2900.. owner NEEDED to sell it BAD.
I loved that car!! Too bad I rolled it... but now I've got my 240z...

Re: 2+2
Hi 260z I live in Melbourne and there's as you know rough weather here in winter. It's unfortunate because it's really taken it's toll on some of the Z's here not being properly rust proofed and all. Which also isn't a bad thing because that means the 240z's are rarest of all to come by and I only see 1 or 2 adds in the paper every month. The 2+2 was probably the most popular here and I'm still not sure why they imported so many of em' here. I've seen some really nice 2+2's and I enjoy looking at them because most people don't bother with them so it's nice to see someone put in the effort and restore a 2+2. As for putting the dog in the back well I don't do that I get really angry with my bitch because she has a habbit of going to jump on the car. But for putting the mates in the back it's fun and I enjoy the long journey's until next time keep zedding.

Re: 2+2
I love my 76 2+2, the way I've restored my Z you have to look twice to see if its a two seater or a 4 seater, it sits nice and low has a new paint job no rust interior refinished, and I keep my back seat folded down as I dont use the back seat and am forever putting stuff in the back, because it sits low it counters the length of the car, just my opinion.

Re: ur opinions on 260-2+2
I know what you are talking about. I brought my 260 2+2 with a roll cage inside. it bad enough to sit in the back already, now with a roll cage its impossible! I have no idea why the previous owner brought a 2+2 and throw in a roll cage. Oh well.... I think my car has good potential even as a 2+2, I am getting better confidence every time I work with it. Thanks guys.
