The way to go with the future project
Good day to all,
I would like to introduce my self, I am from Baja California, I grew as a Nissan Fan, and me and one of my best friends actually build a Sentra SE-R 20 stock and upgrade the engine to a SER20DET.
That project lasted about 5 years, as you know the money is always a show stopper and also as it was our first project we crashed and burned a couple of times with wrong desicions.
This time i join you experts to learn about Datsun 240Z. I got the option of purchasing a '73 model.
So i have a ton of questions.
1. Leave the original engine and upgrade to turbo?
2. Swap engine to RB26DETT? Challenges?
3. How about the looks both internal as external, Keep it clasic/Make it un usual?
So if you guys have any suggestion I would like to read it to be able and make a educated desicion.
Thanks and i hope to read you soon.

Welcome to ZDriver!
Swap in a turbo engine if you want a turbo.
It's up to you. Challenges: Money, and your skill level. An RB26 swap would probably cost $4k - $8k... quite a bit of fab & wiring work.
It's your car... what do you want it to be?

Thanks for the reply! I think i made up my mind an stick with what i already know, i was brousing and the pruce range for the Rb26 is way high for my pocket.
So a straight sr20det will have to be enough. It almost half the price and it comes with everything for the swap.
