frame stiifining

Several vendors have kits, but MSA's site (www.zcarparts.com and check the online store) is pretty easy to navigate. Don't know if they have much beyond strut bars for stiffening. I'd agree, though, that the 280 is pretty stiff anyway. Add the bars, and it should be able to handle quite a bit of hp.

A couple items.
1) Go to www.brokenkitty.com for the original LS1 V8 conversion components.
2) Go to www.racetep.com for decent strut tower braces.
3) Add at least a 4-point roll bar.
With a 280Z items 2 & 3 will get the car stiff enough to handle #1. Mine does.

I do not no much about Z cars, but I do know race cars and hot rods- and in any uni-body car, subframe strengthening and a six point cage make a car as torsionally stiff as you could ever want!
a great book on suspensions and strengthening is the doorslammers handbook- it should be required reading for any person wanting to add alot of HP to a car! LOL
