hmm can't you just buy wheel adapters for like 279 for all four. Hey does anyone know if MSA just sells the adapters alone or only with the rims that they want to sell us for the Z.

Yeah, that would be the easiest cheapest way to go. But you're still pretty limited as to what wheels and brakes you could use. They make hats so you can use rotors from wilwood, brembo, endless, you name it. But anyways, the point I was trying to get at was if you're gonna go as exotic as this kit is, why limit yourself in other areas.
I think this kit would be an awesome idea. So why not go that route with the rest of the car? With custom hubs you put wheels as wide as you want. Not just move them skinny ones out like a spacer does. If you try to put too wide a wheel, or too extreme an offset on on your stock hubs with spacers or adapters, you can stress your bearings and end up destroying your hubs. Then you gotta buy new ones anyways.

Might as well convert to a 5-bolt while you're under there.

I'm very interested to see what becomes of this kit. Very thoroughly designed kit, with no details overlooked. It's drastic, but still keeps some Z essence in there.

If I had another Z I didn't have plans for, I'd definitely order this kit up.

It would definitely be a head turner. Have a whole lot of people guessing what kinda car it was.

It's always funny when somebody comes up to me and tells me nice RX-7 or supra and they remember when they used to have one just like it. "It's a Z" is usually the last thing I say before they walk away embarrased.

Though it sucks when some pimple-faced pizza delivery boy asks what year Spitfire is in my carport ... D'oh!

I often take this one as a compliment ... lots of clueless college guys keep telling me "Nice Jag!"

... I'll leave that one up to you.

Hey Dorito; I think I know why they say "nice Jag" You have a 2+2 right? I mean even a friend of mine says they look like Jaguars! I think that is mainly why he wants one. He has owned 3 2-seaters. Now he wants a 2+2! No offense, but to me they look funny. Different strokes for different folks!

Just an RX-7. And believe it or not. I was insulted! Rx-7's are a pain to work on! I have messed with a friend of mine's. They are a nightmare and a half!

I can say somebody called my '83 Celica GTS, a Mustang? I was like no not even close!

Yeah, I had someone argue with me one time that my Z was made by Mazda, not Nissan. I told him it's a Datsun here in the states, and he said yeah, Mazda is Datsun. This crazy old man then tried to tell me that it wasn't even a Z. It was one of those ZX-7's. Yeah ZX-7, not RX-7. I even showed him my reg. saying it was 280zx. He still tried to argue his point. At that point I realized their was no point and told him I had to go. He said I should educate myself on the cars I drive.

For those who don't know, it's an 81 280zx, 2seater.

Update... Sorta

Well I've been thinking and doing research, figuring what I want to do and I'm starting to stray away from making a replica of the 575. and If I do make a replica, I'll probably want to do things like chop the top and lengthen the wheel base both of which make the kitability of the car "slightly" complex. So what we're looking at here is me trying to be an individual, just like everybody else! If I can find another zx for dirt cheap I might base the body kit on that one, unless someone in the area(W. Michigan) is willing to have their zx off the road for a while. Its going to take some more figuring on my part but the only way this kit And my car are going to get done is if I get some sort of business loan. Which I'd rather not do, especially with this type of business. but like a teacher once told me, The Best Plans are simply a base to deviate from. I'll keep you posted.
