Question Body kit, Fiberglass dash and door panels with speaker pods.

I have began making a body kit for my ZX and before I paint it I am debating on whether or not to make a mold for reproduction. I don't really know what the demand is for a 280zx body kit. I can't seem to find any and the ones I have found aren't very attractive. So I am going to create my own I have made some digital models of it and I will post them soon. So my question is would people be willing to buy a body kit or a fiberglass dash or door panels. (price would be what the average body kit cost, dash and panels wouldn't be outrageous either)

Welcome to ZDriver!

Have you seen the body kits from MSA (www.thezstore.com) and BDA (www.blackdragonauto.com) ? There's also various other companies selling body kits / parts. As for the fiberglass dash & door panels... I've seen a few 280zx's w/ those & to me they look chunky, and out of place. But I'd like to see your ideas!

id like to see this body kit. as for fiberglass door panels, they are garbage, the dash though, if you can get it to mold & clean i think you could have something there.

Yeah welcome to ZDriver man. I would be interested in seeing your ideas. I too, have thought about taking a scrap dash. And making it into a custom look. I haven't got around to it yet. Have other things to do. Anyway post your ideas, and we can go from there.

please dont make it a ricey from, jsut something thats a little squared to flow with the rest of the body the front should be low like it has a valance and an opening maybe for brake cooling and for FMIC applications. simple but functional. kinda like the MSA style front but lower and slightly more aggressive i think would be nice.

door panels sound neat to me as well as a dash, the race car could use on, itll prolly be lighter than stock. i dont need the body kit, i already made mine, but post some pix, would be neat to see. its always a good idea to make moulds, just incase your work gets stolen or in a crash, you can do it again.

Door Panels - Speaker Pods

I've been kicking around that idea since I want to mount some 5 1/4" speakers in the doors.

Maybe boxed flares? Never seen anything like that, the rounded S30 type just dont suit. By boxed I mean shaped like the race S130 below.
