Car for daughter

Car for daughter
I'm considering this car for my daughter. (It's the gray one in the photo not the white one, LOL). He said he shaved the bumpers. Replaced them with glass and metal. What do you think. Not sure if I like the look. Also, any insights regarding the stuff he says is new?

lol i wanted to know for good reasons. besides, ohio isnt to far from me only one state away lol. but i asked because if she was 16 or someting i'd say no its a first car get a beater piece o ****. since she is 19 i'd say her tastes would probably be else where something much newer. but if she actually likes the 80's interiors and body style and think she will appreciate it i would say go for it then but dont get soemthing she wont truly enjoy because its in your tastes its just not wise. also, a pic would rock though, FAMILY PIC!!!! see the hotties in your fam haha.

if she gets it. otherwise that would be pretty weird. haha. but you never answered the question. does she dig the Z's ? did she ever say she would want one or really likes your car? what does/did she drive?

If she likes the car, go for it. Insurance is a major plus to an older car. Even if it's a sports car. I know as a young person, I appreciate less bills. I like the no bumper on the rear, but I am not real big on the front. Maybe because my car has no bumper on the rear. I think the car still looks great. I don't care about hair color too much. But, if your daughter has good taste in cars like that, it's a big bonus. I am willing to relocate. haha j/k.
Like the picture of the car in the hanger.
I swear if I ever meet a girl that is good looking, rides a sport motorcycle, is a mechanic, and is not a lesbian, with an IQ over 120, I will marry her.
Not that I won't lower my standards to a degree, but that would be a no-brainer.

i know what you're saying there. i used to think the same thing, but now it seems better to me that my significant other and i have different hobbies. if we both worked on cars we would always be competing. as many things as my gf and i do that are different, we do both like to sail a lot, but that works out because she just accepts that i'm better lol. i just have to be careful not to rub it in and we get along great.

I would say no. There's too much custom work on that car that it makes me think it was done to "repair" something. "New" paint on a Craigslist add is begging for trouble. I don't care much for the styling, but I think the biggest issue is going to be the lack of decent bumpers. Your begging for some custom body work repair if someone tries to parallel park behind her and "bumps" the back of that car.
If it were my daughter, I would get her this one:

I know, sacrilege on this forum but it's ultra reliable, cheap to fix and great on gas mileage. This thing probably has another 150k miles in it and you can change the clutch in about an hour!

lol no civics are D-bag cars when it comes to taking down the tranny. especially if one of the ball joints starts spinning. a Z clutch change is MUCH easier
also i think im going to ask your daughter on a date lol
