Fairlady fender mirrors!..

i definitely like them on the s30's, but i don't know about the zx. i'm sure they are very functional though. i really wanted to put them on my midget, but i was in too much of a hurry to get it painted to fill the holes on the door.

I still think the S30 round bullet fender mirrors look good on a 280ZX
eBay has some generic fender mirrors you can get for roughly $35/pair USD
(edit) http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/DATSU...=p4506.c0.m245
They are now $80 pair. Greed increased the price.
genuine Nissan fender mirrors are usually $200-400 a pair

Fender mirrors suck. The field of view is VERY small and they're a pain in the azz to adjust, but it does let you see your "blind" spots which is why they were legally mandated in some parts of the world.

I believe some were electrically adjustable?

My problem is that a previous owner has fitted large black door mirrors, which are pretty awful!
I was going to replace them with stock chrome mirrors, but found that the mounting points are completely different and I would therefore have to fill and paint the door tops anyway.

theres only one way to find out now isnt there, buy them and see. drive with them. could always take the wifes makeup mirror and tape it to the fender just to see how you like it and what size you need. 4" round is pretty small when it comes to mirrors.

Sorry I was harsh. The fender mirrior take away from the sleek profile. Stick with the side mirroes. I had not noticed your square mirrors on your car until you pointed them out. I'm blind though. Stick with side mirrors. Keep the profile.

Hi,
Another option would be to get some more door mirrors that cover the existing mountings.
I saw these chrome ones which appear to have large enough stems and can be mounted at various angles.....
I would change the B post trims to earlier chrome ones as well if I got chrome mirrors.

Hi,
I 'm probably biased as I have a 2+2, but I like the lines of the 2+2 model, particularly with the T bar roof, which breaks up the longer roofline.
I need the back seat, as I sometimes need to transport my young daughter in the car as well.
We only got the 2 seater model for a couple of years in the UK and never got the targa roof or later facelifted 2 seater version at all!
