gauges
I bought that complete set you see in the previous post on white face gauges nice set but my car has a analog clock and 130mph speedo so I can't use them If anyone wants them for what I payed for them there yours just make sure your speedo is the 85mph one and your clock is digital, this kit didn't have any thing in it also for a boost gauge.

White Face Gauges
[QUOTE=Lion00]i was thinkin about makin my own on glossy paper then laminating them to make sure nothing happens to them
btw..what are the legal issues with making your own gauges?
cuz i'm a graphic designer and if there is no "rules" i was gonna make my own[/QUOTE
NOT SURE IF THIS WILL GET THROUGH, BUT WTH. I HAVE A SET OF WHITE FACE OVERLAYS FOR 79 TO 83 280ZX(TURBO AND NON TURBO). AS LONG AS I GET THEM BACK, YOUR WELCOME TO USE THEM TO MAKE COPIES.

well you take out all your old stuff...
carefull takin needles out n stuff so you dont brake em...
then what you do is sand the hell out of both sides of the plastic piece...
then you take the guages and print em off on sticky back paper and glue them on carefully....
i did that to mine...cept i didnt sand the back so now i got lil dark in the middle and brighter on the outside....also i put in blue lights...

For the sake of bringing this thread back again, and to show off what I've done with a couple rulers and Photoshop 5 ....
Check out Version 1.0 (printed on none other than recycled printer paper ... hehe) of my custom gauges here - www.dorifto-motorsports.00go.com/dashpic.jpg (I just realized I can't post pics ... so visit my site and add dashpic.jpg to the end ...)
Look closely, the speedo is in km/h. I had heard somewhere that the speedo is accurate all the way around, and to keep my cruise control and have a higher-marked speedo, I'd simply have to remove the trip odometer reset shaft from the gauge face. The needle would then be able to move freely past 80 mph, and spin round and round. It would be a task marking the gauge past that, but IMO it would be quite worth it. Tell me what y'all think - I'd like to know how to make them better!
My site should be up soon - I'm almost finished building my server! I've got 10Gigs to kill, and if things work out as planned, I might do some image and movie hosting for y'all.

I may as well put a link on my page. Look for "Custom-face Gauges" on my page ...
Comments, or questions anyone? I was thinking about positioning the dials and needles so that they point straight down when off ... would that look too weird? I'll figure something out soon, and post pics.
