Lower door seal retrofit
I know I said I was gonna sell the thing, but I just couldnt bear to part with such a wonderful moneypit. Anyway, I was pouring over the Black dragon catalog and couldnt help but notice how similar the z31 lower door seals are to ours, so for 20 bucks I bought one to see if it would even come close to working. Ive got it on the car now, and its actually like 75% correct fitting. youve got to shave the front upper a little and hack and splice the back top, a little trim adhesive, and voila! Its gonna be a while before she sees the light of day, i'll try to post an update on noise(if any) and leaks(if any).

Im in the middle of and alarm install (so it wont get stolen again) and some other tidying up, so its gonna be a while before I can water test it, but I dont think there will be any problems.

Ok, so I hosed it today and what it looks like needs to happen is to buy 3 seals to do 2 doors, cuz they are a little too short to go all the way up the back of the door. the top front of the seal needs to be thinned out a bit with a razor blade to the door will close properly, at least on my car because I have the doors adjusted all the way tight up against the body. The ends that get tucked under the door panel arent the exact right shape and might need to be trimmed and glued in place. Thats it! Takes like an hour per door, cost ya like $75 for 3 seals and glue shipped to your door.
