New Emblem Application

Alright I got some nice newer chrome fender emblems for my Z off ebay. They're in pretty good condition and shine pretty well. Now my question is what's the best way to go about pulling the old ones off and appyling the new ones? Is this something where the paint can get messed up in the process? Also what works the best for applying the emblems to the fenders and actually have them stay on? My old ones are a washed out white and the driver's side emblem is falling apart.

use a plastic putty knife, NOT A METAL ONE, itll come of with some force then just clean it with rubbing alchol and install new ones, and if they dont have the sticky part, use 3m stuff with the red pulloff back, anything else isnt worth it

Shady is right. Just be carefull not to slip and let the putty knife marr the paint. 3M makes a double sided emblem tape. It can be trimmed to fit the eblem and isnt to expensive. Plus its really good for other stuff too sinse you cant just buy a little. Its weather, heat and UV resistant so its'll last as long as the car does.

Well comparing the emblems I bought to the emblems on my car. I noticed there's little prongs on the back that pop into holes on the side of the car. Well on the emblems I bought the little prongs are broken. So what do you guys think? Will the 3M stuff be enough to hold them well?

The 3M stuff will be strong enough. The holes/pegs are just meant to help with alignment.
