Paint job+Headlight cover thingys....

Hey guys! My first thread, so here it goes...

I will soon be under ownership of a 1980 280zx, the thing is it needs a little tlc with paint. I was thinking kind of a glossy black with a close-to leman's orange stripe even with the steering wheel. And those headlight domes...

What do you guys think?

(I'll have a photoshop up soon)

I dont know about the stripe thing, Im not too fond of stripes. If I ha a s130, I would paint it the 10th anniversary gold color, with tinted headlight covers.

There's a local Z here that has been dubbed "creamcicle" as it is orange w/ white racing stripes. Not too shab! We could call yours "darkcicle"

Smile

Haha, I was only gonna have one, maybe 8-10" wide, and over the driver's side of the hood and roof so it lines up with the steering wheel.

Where can I get those headlight covers?

I think all black with 16" wheels and headlight covers would look excellent.

Here's a photoshop I did of your car with that combo.

you know what, I think I might just go for the straight black with the smoked headlight covers....looks hella nice!! The photoshop I did with the close to leman's stripe didn't look to good, not even save worthy...And now for the rims...16"er's you say?

Throw a dual engine setup in the hatch and you'll have a legendary Z.

EDIT* An exhaust that goes TInka tinka tink tink would be good too.

maybe Rod can hook you up with a matching set of 18's. Then you're set!

I got my eyes on something at the moment, but will 18" rims really fit under there? I guess they can...but the roads here are not that great until I get up into the cities.
