This is supposed to fit the 280zx, my original hatch has some rust and the seals leak water. I can't find the seals anywhere, but I found this aftermarket hatch.

Pretty neat. I've seen 240s with it before, changes the look but isnt ugly by any means in my opinion. Detomaso had cool styling.

I think it's just different, can kinda look cool. I probably wouldn't put it on my car but it's all owner preference.

Do they have the glass for it?

I had a widebody 280Z once with all the fancy parts. Molded in flares, molded in front air dam, "Corvette" tail light kit, and the Pantera hatch. It looks cooler on a fully modified car but wouldn't look right on a mostly stock car. However, the hatch was a piece of **** on the insides, needed work to cover up it's guts, and visibility was absolutely TERRIBLE! I would never put it on a car I intended to do anything other than show in car shows.

Z Force Productions has some nice looking products. That being said, I believe that the Pantera Hatch looks much better on a highly modified car, rather than one that looks close to stock.
