A-Piller Pods

I have a A-piller pod that hold 2 2" gauges. I'm pretty its a custom job. If there is any intrest i can try to use it as a mold to make a few. I'll post pics of what i'm talking about.

This is what it looks like installed....

The pods are pretty high up... I personally wouldn't be able to drive like that.

Here's what mine look like, nothing like yours yours is better, much cleaner, but I do agree with Nismo...it's a little high up for my taste.

Yeah I am interested also, but definately bring them down. They will look a lot better. And they would work great with my future turbo swap. But good work though bro'. Keep us updated.

It might be easier to attach a pod to a stock pillar piece & make a mold of that. I've just attached a universal one & someday I will plastic weld it to the stock pillar & paint it.

exhaust temp or voltage.... or a better than stock boost guage... cause stock doesnt have numbers and only goes so far.... well most stock boost guages dont have numbers to Z'S????

and red interior? thats so retro and trippy at the same time lol

He's got an n/a... so he doesn't need a boost gauge & already has a stock voltmeter. Exhaust temp isn't really needed since he doesn't have the backpressure of a turbo.

Oil temp would prolly be the next important gauge (IMO anyway )

hmmm oil temp. thats sounds like a good idea. where would the sensor mount? im hoping not oil pan. i was gonna run a cooler and dual external mount filters, so i guess the pressure line to the cooler?

They are usually mounted in the oil pan (as the 280zxt one is). You can buy a bung to install one in your pan. Just drain most of the oil, drill a hole in the pan, tap it & install... then flush the pan w/ another quart of oil & spray some brake cleaner in the oil drain to do a final wash...

Got some progress done...

I cut off the pods from the old a-piller. Now I just need to see how close i can mount them down to the bottom screw hole... I'm thinking i might just put the screw hole in between the 2 pods to make it alot lower than it originally was.

Pics will come as soon as me ball and chain gets home with the camera
