What is good to use for custom stereo jobs??????
I have to put a new head unit in my 280zx but i don't know how or what to use. I've seen pics of people who have it done....I was wondering if you could use aluminum to fill the space where the old radio was?

I had a stainless plate cut to replace all. I removed all of the crappy plastic and had a water jet company cut a new plate. I then had it sand blasted to give a satin pateen finish. cool...
I will forward the AutoCad files to anyone who wants to do something similar

Lexan
I mounted the CD player to the framework the stock radio bolted to and used lexan to make a faceplate. I painted the lexan black on the back so, from the front, it looks really shiney black, its pretty cool. I have a couple pics here: http://old.zdriver.com/rides/detailr...x=4&vehId=1384
