Wheel and Tire setup

I'm new to this forum and looking for some information regarding wheel/tire size. My son and I are working on a 1983 280ZX resto-mod project. The car will sport an MSA body kit, Lambo doors, and other modern features. We want to use the tallest wheels possible with the widest low-profile tires to fill the wheel wells. My question for you experienced "Z lovers" is what size wheels and tires and what offset have you had luck with?

Thanks in advance for your help - we look forward to participating in this great forum!

19x8 front, 19x9 rear
245/30/19 (if you can even find tires that size)
255/30/19
That is the tallest you can get to keep your speedo correct.

you can do zero offset in the front all the way up to +12
In the rear zero to +15 should work

Wheel adaptors may be required in both cases or doing a 5-lug conversion.

Thanks for the input!

I did do a search, but from what I see it's mostly smaller wheels and taller tires. We are looking to put a totally different spin on the Z!

I'm sure I need to improve my search skills...

RT - we are at Shea and 22nd street.

Thanks again - all input is appreciated!

screw the lambo doors. Research a 5-lug swap then put some 19's on the car. You have way more options with 5-lug RWD wheels.
