windshield trim

ok so i bought this 79 280 a few days ago and im working on replacing all the peices he took off to have it painted and lost. long story short he never got past the primer and managed to lose several trim peices over the time it sat. the trim around the winshield is broken and i need to replace it. is there a place i can get it new? or am i better off trying to remove it from a junk yard car?

get them from the junk yard, they should come off with a small flat screw driver or windsheild trim tool.

Exactly how is the windscreen trim removed? Using a flat screwdriver and levering from the outside? Or inside? Any tricks?

Mr Nissans workshop manual is not clear at all on the subject.

They are connected by plastic retainers shoved into the windshield seal & the trim is easiest removed w/ a small hook shaped screwdriver.

Been some trim pieces on ebay lately. Not sure if they're still going though.
