Aftermarket wheel offset questions...
Is there a thread for different wheel/tire combos and offsets folks are using? If there is, I couldn't find it, but I had a question...
My brother has offered me the Kosei K1s off his old S13 240SX drift car for cheap ($200 for wheels with decent 225/50/15 tires). The wheels are 15x7 with a +35mm offset. From my research here, it sounds like I'll need a set of 1.5" wheel adaptors to make the wheels fit. Is that correct?

Hmmm...I'm a little confused. Based on my experience fitting wheels on other cars, zero offset on a 7" wide wheel should yield an effective backspacing of ~4.125", and zero offset on an 8" wide wheel should yield an effective backspacing of 4.75". That's over 1/2" (~13mm) of difference in available backspacing. If that's true, I should be able to get away with using a 1" adapter instead (which are bit less expensive than the 1.5" adapters).
Looks like I'll need to get under there and do a bit of measuring to be sure.
