ive had them on my car for over 9 years now and so far ive been pretty happy with them... i did just replace the rear struts due to it getting soft from the past year or so...its a huge upgrade from stock...

I'm late responding, but the Suspension Technique springs will lower your car about 1.2". I've had them on my Z for about 6 or more years now, and they work fine for street driving. If you plan to do more aggressive driving like racing on a track, I'd recommend a full blown coilover set because the springs are too soft for that. Anyway, either Tokicos or ST will be fine for your Z.
BTW, Ice, your Z looks sweet with the new wheels!

I used the Tokico "blue" shocks like most everyone else did with the ST springs. I'm not sure if the stock shocks would be able to handle the stiffer rates for very long before losing their effectiveness. The ride is stiffer than stock and I don't get as much squat when launching off the line, but I wouldn't call it racecar stiff, especially compared to some coilover equipped S13 and S14 cars I've ridden in.
The only time I notice the ride being harsh is over expansion joints, or uneven pavement (which is quite often on the I-5 freeway here in California). But on normal city roads, it's fine. Use the urethane bump stops if you don't want the bottoming out to be super harsh.
