left parking brake cable won't reach lever.
For some time my parking brake has been non-functioning. Yesterday when I had the wheels off, I realized why.
The Clevis clip was holding the cable jacket in place, but the end of the cable was not in the lever! It was pulled back tight against the jacket. The end at the Y-splitter looks to have a little bit of free cable, but not much. The end at the caliper doesn't budge when I grab the tip with pliers.
Oddly enough the lever on the passenger side does not seem to move when I push on it by hand. I'm not sure if its stuck into the "on" or "off" position though. My rotors have been sitting and collecting surface rust for a while, so they don't spin well enough to tell by hand if that p-brake is engaged some or not on that side.
I'm going to spray some silicone lube on both ends of both jackets, and on both of the lever/spring assemblies and see if they move around any better after that.
