New Front Coilovers for the 280ZX!
I must have been sleeping - apparently Tech Toy Tuning carries a front coilover conversion for the 280ZX. A nice option for those who don't want to fab up a custom S13 setup (although I think my preference would be a set of S13 Megans - get the whole set for almost the price of just the fronts).

Lol yea and Tokicos are crap too. Sorry but you are on the vast minority on those two. Well along with you buddy that had Tokicos that blew, etc, etc....

the coilovers posted above are one of the best options for the front of our cars currently.
Tokicos are the absolute worst shocks you can purchase
Megans are shitty coilovers.
it's been PROVEN by the 240SX community that Megans are shitty coilovers. they have terrible ride quality and blow out prematurely (I just had one blow out on me with no warning and now I'm scrambling to get new shorter dampers for my Stance coilovers.)

Same goes for the Tokicos - they are the best bang for your buck 280ZX shock (and the KYB but you can get the spring set with the Tokicos). Sorry - it's you vs the world on this one again.

No, Megan coilovers are for cheap ****s with janky *** cars.
the only reason I bought my Megans was a filler between the **** I had before and the Stances I'm putting in.
Sorry, but you're just wrong. And a total idiot.

i gotta say, theres not many people i would say really know their stuff, but between nismopick and fricfrac, every issue i've come across has been fixed with their excellent help and advice. i would have to argue that Fricfrac isnt in all actuality, a total idiot.

Any out of the box coilover is going to suck. It may feel better then stock, but they are seriously lacking on the performance side.
All of the professional road racers are using dyno proven shocks that fit there specific needs for specific circumstances and any real shock is going to need gone through and have the oil replaced every few thousand miles.
Now I don't agree tokico's are the worst, but they are ok for a drop in street shock. And I kind of agree that megan products are ****, just for reference they don't actually make their own suspension parts and a majority of their suspension components are just copies of something else.
And this is coming from personal, first hand experience. NOT an opinion formed on the internet.

Never heard of PPK, unless your referring to something?
BC and megan are made by the same people, supposedly BC uses and matches their shocks and springs though. Had a buddy with a exige with BC ER series all around and it felt pretty good, after he blew two of the shocks he went to bilstein coilovers with a custom set of afco springs though.

cool kit fricfrac, whens it arrive? i had the camber plates on my other 280, but it being its gone now,i dont have the set anymore. i think id save the 500 bux and get the weld on kit he uses to make the strut kit. but thats cause im cheap and have an awesome welder.

Lol that's not in the budget yet The 300ZX stock suspension is driving me nuts now that I put it back on the road and I just ordered camber arms in for the 370Z. Blah, blah, blah....

Lol Megans are one of the most popular best bang for your buck coil overs in the S13 community. Having a one or two fail out of thousands of other guys having great results means that the two guys with the failed ones think they suck.

I'm about to install those coilovers' from 3T
I'm getting ready to install those coilovers with camber plates. Does anybody know if it is all going to be plug and play? Or will I have to do anything out of the ordinary? (other than cut some metal with a dremel tool at the top of the strut mount so I can have room to put the camber plate)

ive had megan s13 coilovers on all 4 of my zx for a while now with no issues, i got the megan track not the megan streets... not sure if that makes a differance. as far as ride... well its not bad at all. like a car with coilovers lol
