rear springs

I have just replaced the front springs and shocks and now am looking to replace the rear springs on my 83 280zx turbo. I do not wish to have performance type handling, the stock is fine. I cannot find stock springs for a 2 seater, only for a 2+2. Does anyone know if they are interchangeable, or do you have any suggestions

Welcome to ZDriver!

Yes, they are interchangeable... virtually the same thing. I believe the 2+2 spring is "slightly" stiffer for the extra hatch weight.

Thank you very much for the info. I was concerned that they may be taller for the reason of the weight, but it would seem logical that they would be only stiffer as I am sure the body and suspension points would be the same for both body styles.
Thanks again

if you would like to get rid of the rear squat, use mercedes 300d springs, they are progressive and match the front nicely. you have to cut approx 4 coils off to match stock, but go 1/2 coil at a time to get it the correct height. they make the cars handling very neutral. let off to drift a bit, steady pedal to corner and floor it for a bit of push. the soft rear cant do that.
