looking for simple way of changing out the rear shocks of '79 - '83

lift up the Z undo the 4 bolts that hold the entire thing in. take it down to a suspension place and tell them to take the springs off and put them onto your new shocks, replace the bolts you removed and your done.

Can read the FSM, it helps a lot.

Or buy a spring compressor for less than $30 like I did. And do the work yourself. And it will be cheaper. If you are keeping the stock springs. I would go with the Gabriels. They are pretty nice, until you mod your suspension later. But that all depends on what kind of a ride you are looking for.

Well the shop here swapped my springs on my shocks for $10 a pop soooo lol It varies. but its not that hard to do either way.
