Sorry posted in general should been here, adj. tension rods

The are adjustable, with BMW bal joints on top, and left and right threads
All i could find where either built for a 510 or a s30.. so i had to make my own. luckely a friends speedshop makes these for his race Z .. so we duplicated them for use on the s130 utilizing a BMW balljoint ( bolts into OEM hole, but i will reinforce this) And a cut and left hand threaded orinal rod, this wil enable me to fully adjust these.
On top the Control arms will be adjustable aswell, this enable me to use the z31 5 lug conversion with z31 struts, that will be fitted with Coilovers...

Now the rest of the car should be somewhere near finished :075

I have been thinking aobut doing that same thing, with less exotic parts. Oval track companies make fully adjustable lower a arms, theres got to be one out there that will fit a s130

I've got a set I converted to adjustable with left and right hand threads and was looking at doing a heim joint, but I like the ball joint idea better.

Which BMW did you source the ball joints from?

I have a spare set of TC rods and want to do another adjustable set. How much would your friend charge to build another pair?

P.S.
Yes, I am stalking you from zcar.com!

Thumbs up

I will be at his place this week, and i will ask him about commercially exploiting this, it would have to be a group buy though.
(one run of say 10 sets) as he is actually building le mans cars, and Paris Dakar cars. (Seems to be time consuming)

But this is my gestimate, Ill update when i know more

I will have adjustable control arms aswel, and he will have something for the rears aswel. ( apparently the e30 m3 track cars do this aswel)

I would be more then happy to participate in this group buy if it happens and he would like produce the product. Would like to know a ball park range though?

if it takes a group buy. I'd be in. Especially considering these pretty much aren't available anywhere else.

TechnoToyTuning.com
They have some really beefy looking TC rods that are adjustable. They are listed for both the 510 and 280ZX... unless that was a mistake of them listing for the ZX. $195 / pair

Link - Clicky Clicky

I know that when you go to that link the category says Datsun 510, but if you brouse back to the Datsun section, click on 280ZX, the tension rods show up. They just use the same 510 page to show the product.
