Tires? Shocks/Struts?

Ok I pulled off both of my front tires to check the condition of the suspension and noticed there is numbers and letters stamped on the shocks. I think they are factory, they definatly look old enough to be. They have two lines of letters and numbers stamped into them, the first line says Nissan followed by numbers and letters and right below that they say Tokico followed by numbers and letters. Is it safe to say Nissan used Tokico's from the factory?

Also what Z cars came with 205/70r14's on them factory? I think I posted that question before but I don't think I got an answer but that is the tire size on the underside of my armrest on the tag from the factory. I am pretty sure the armrest came from another car. It does say 2 seater on the tag.

I did find out that my steering rack is leaking fluid pretty bad and almost all, if not all of my bushings are in bad shape. I think it is about time to go to the urethane bushings, but I have not found a no sh#t full kit for the car. Also my current tire size is 205/50r15 and I am looking to put 215/60r15's on it cause I am at 3000rpm or so at around 50mph, I can't be real sure cause my spedo is off like 6-10mph! I did also get a better look at the under side of the car...not as much rust as I had thought there would be but you can tell where some asses in the past have jacked up the car putting dents on the floor pan braces and other places they should not have jacked it from. Someone did spray the underside with lots of undercoating and it is about 80% all there so thats good. HAPPY EASTER!!!

A good deal of the bushings for the 280zx aren't available in urethane. Control arm, tension rod, and sway bar bushings are all available in urethane. But other than that I dont think you'll find anything else available. I may have left something out but the ZX doesn't have nearly the selection that the S30 cars have.

the other bushings will have to be factory, like the diff crossmember and the diff mount, youll love the difference they make. there is no kit, but you can easily piece it together from energy suspensions at the local parts store. you could probably fit a 225 tire on those rims, i dont know what height maybe 45 series??

Tires to buy

After going to the 1010tires.com place I decided that the 215/60r15's will be my best choice for now.

By going with the 215/60/15 they will be off by 1-mph compared to the 195/70r14's and .3-mph compared to the 205/70r14's. So it is close enough for me and should bring my rpm's down at cruising speeds above 60mph and my mpg should go up a bit also. I used 215/60/15's on my 92 Camaro which was wider and heavier with no problems and handled great so I am sure this size will be even better on my 82 coupe. All and all with new bushings, shocks/struts, springs, and tires this car should handle like a dream. I just really hate not having the correct speed on the spedo.
