yes ,another wheel question
Good day all, I am looking for the easiest answer possible on wheel upgrading.I understand little on the off center stuff? I own a 1983 datsun 280zx turbo which presently has p205/70r14 with a bolt pattern of 4x114.3 I believe.Im looking to upgrade to 15 or 16 inch and would like a slightly wider rear tire than front.I searched endless websites with little sucess. Can anoyone guide me on a nice set of 16 inch that fit with the proper tire size to hae slightly larger rear to front that fits this car without modding the suspension? And the website if possible? Much appreciated, i tried tirerack.com but it wont let me search the mags unless i type in the car model which then says no wheels .

The "off center stuff": generally you will see a rim side of something similar to 16x8 +40. The +40 would be the offset, or "off center stuff". You want to look for a rim that has low to negative offset. The rims that I run are 16x8 +0's. I have en recommendations that you don't go past +13 offset or so. My suspension dynamics and sizes are essentially stock and my 225.50R16's fit perfectly. Mine are not staggered, though, like you want. Bought a set on eBay for right around $400 New in box. They're XXR's, but I forgot which specific ones they are.

finding wheels for the s130 is a chore as they mostly make 5 lug wheels to fit Hondas etc. You can buy adapter plates to take the 5 lug wheel but finding just a wheel you like that fits an s130 is like chasing unicorns. It is even hard to find 5 lug wheels for a z31 that are nice and not too expensive.

i wouldnt go with wider out back then front. you cant rotate tires as they wear meaning you need to fork out more cash as life goes on. id go with the 225 personally, nothing wrong with better traction.
