280ZX Turbo HEI Swap Schematic,Please?
Yo Z-Buffs.... The turbo Z's ignition control module is insanely overpriced as you all know, hence why you all do the GM 4-pin HEI ignition module swap in your Turbo Z's...I'm having troubles finding a good, clear schematic of this setup. Also, does the GM module need to be mounted to a heatsink, like the factory unit is? Or does it dissipate the heat ok on its own? Pics of fellow Z owners who have done this swap successfully would be super too! I realize this isn't rocket science, but I don't want to zap my brand new module either! lol... Cheers and Thanks In Advance!

Like this one? Been around for years... https://www.zdriver.com/forums/240z-...evy-hei-27569/
The only "error" on that pic is the Black w/ White stripe is switched power, not ground.

Make sure you ground it good, not just its body, but run a wire from the bolt to the chassis. Heat-sink and thermal compound is cheap insurance. Buy a few, I have 2 in my glove box at all times. If they are too expensive local, just order a few online, they are fairly cheap.
