3.1l stroker carburetor question
it's time to buy some parts for my engine and I've got a question. I'm going to build a 3.1 litres stroker. I bought L28 with n42 head and f54 block and it's carbed. I don't know the year it was manufactured, but it was made not for US market. The question: Will 240Z 260Z 280Z Weber Carburetor Kit fit my stroker motor?
here it is:

seller said "I have absolutely no idea whether it will fit. All of the L28's were fuel injected in the US market place.
There was an intake port change to the L28 engines here in the U.S. in 1978.
If you can confirm your head is the same as the 75-78 L28 U.S. market head then we could assume it will fit."
My L28 engine is from japanese Nissan Patrol. Does it mean that my head is the same as 75-78 280z's head if it's got N42 stamped

I think you're going to need to do a lot more research on a Stoker build. You are going to want to go with a 44/45 or 50mm tripple setup not a 40mm.

40'S would work with some creative tuning, but 44's would seem to be a good ticket with a mild 3.1 build. You top end and compression are going to be the ultimate factors with any build though.
TBH though, I would personally want less stroke, more RPM and higher compression, then just throwing some huge diesel crank in it. Any torque lost between a short and long stroke crank could be made up with a little more compression and a little cam timing.
