80 280zx Vacuum Hoses (Pictures Included)

Where do these go, I have tried reading the manuals and figuring it out but I can't find a clear picture of what these lines go to.

I know #1 has a T section on it where two hoses connect, but no idea where they go, thanks for any help.

They both go to the vacuum canister underneath the engine bay light.

As I stated, two (well... technically I used the word "both" ) go to that canister. It looks like your car is an auto?

Notice the plugged line above your red box in this pic?

This is the T pipe I'm talking about so that makes 3 hoses total, and the red arrows are for where the tubes are currently hooked but I'm not sure about which hose goes where. Added callouts to make the answer possibly easier. The reason I think I'm running into issues is that this used to be a manual before I owned it but the woman had it changed to automatic.

Remove the T... then you have 2 hoses running to the 2 vacuum tank ports.

Arrow #3 looks fine... it's the ASCD (cruise control) unit, and it is supposed to go to the vacuum tank.

Oh, and to find out if your car is CA or Federal, look at the emissions sticker, or check the vin: https://www.zdriver.com/forums/showt...&highlight=vin

Thanks, do the hoses from the vacuum tank matter for which one? and also, there are 3 spots on the vacuum tank for hoses two go to the engine and one leads inside the car. Is there supposed to be one going inside? if not should I pull that one off and connect the ASCD to the vacuum tank in it's place?

Turn to page 212 in your 280zx Haynes manual.
