81 Temperature Gauge

81 Temperature Gauge
My temperature gauge is flat-lined at all times. I'm assuming it's disconnected or broken somewhere & I want to fix it. I have a shop manual, but it doesn't say squat about where this line goes (didn't come with a wiring diagram). Can anyone help me source it from the firewall to where it connects to the engine?

So it's connected at the sensor (at the front of the motor next to the distributor under the thermostat housing)? Should be a yellow or green wire (I can't remember which color) with a bullet connector on it. When my temp gauge stopped working it was just that connector unplugged...

thats usually the problem, your temp sensor is on the front of the thermostat housing. Its just a single bullet connector, just double check its connected and clean. If it turns out to be a bad gauge let me know, Iv got a few spares.

Thanks Guys,
The little "bullet" connector was off. Luckily the guy I bought the car off of had a tonne of spare parts he gave me, so even if it had been the gauge, I have 2 more. :P
I may be selling a bunch of the spare parts (like 2 sets of T-roofs & some interior trim, another door & fender, etc).
They'll be posted in the respective section if I do.
