82 turbo won't start; help!! plz
hey; i'm new here; and i've tried everything; and asked many people; except for actual owners. So this is my problem. My car won't start; the engine turns; but it won't start. I"m thinking it's a distributor problem; because the cap and rotor are both new; and the plugs and wires aren't old. And the fuel pump works. Any suggestions? or is it the distributor? thank you.

check for spark!
Take out those plugs, even if they're only a few months old. Clean them with a rag, not a wire brush. Re-gap them. (0.04) ? I think.
Put them back in except for one. Lay one spark plug on the valve cover with the wire plugged into it. At night, crank the engine over just twice. See that you have a nice big spark.
The distributor is controlled by the ECU on the turbo models. I'm not sure where else to check for distributor problems. Maybe look around for wires or plugs on the dizzy. Re-seat the connections.

what about your coil? how old is it? the problem is probably in the ignition somewhere, also when was the last time the car was run? maybe also check your turbo, i have heard if those are not working properly, the car will not run right or not at all, hope this helps you
