'83 280ZX Turbo Question

From what I remember (might not be 100% accurate!), the 240z was brought to the USA on October 22, 1969. It was made in 69, but considered a 1970 car (just like todays "next year's model" previews in July / Aug of each year.
But... the 240z had been in production for a short time before 10/22/69, in Japan.

A buddy of mine has a beautiful Datsun Roadster 2000 with an SR20 in it. He got an entire article in Sport Compact Car for that job. Thing is awesome...
My paint guy is in the process of doing a KA24 swap into his roadster as well. Although, I prefer the look of the SR20, a KA24 is going to be a totally easy to maintain swap.

Yeah, I should probably correct myself... The guy with the KA24 has a 2000 Roadster, not a 1600. I Can't imagine doing it on a 1600. He's got a couple little bolt on goodies hooked up to that KA24 also. It's a scary little car.
Rod.

The US dealer is the one who actually writes up the title. Do you really think in Sept 1969 they are going to want to sell a 1969 car? no, they would most likely title it a 1970. But I have heard that a few US cars were sold with a '69 title. pretty cool if you have one like that.
