Or the Chargers!

Hey guys, here is another update from the rebuilding chronicles.

Well, saturday was a busy and fruitful day. The motor is almost together. Got the head, with some help from rod. The chain is ready to get set up, thas always fun. Got my oil jets in, and its getting ready to go. The block got its 8 coats of paint, three coats of primer, 3 coats of semi gloss black, and two coats of clear coat. So yeah, its plenty painted. I am hoping to get the motor finished up tonight, and get a hoist by maybe wendsday. Have to finish putting the front end back together. That should be fun. More to come i am sure....

GGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Broncos!!

The red and black paint scheme looks really awesome. Bob... you need to upload some pics for everybody else to see. Should be driveable again soon!!!!!

The Starbucks parking lot just hasn't been the same without it lately. I have to park my car between a sissy white 350Z and a gold Z31... It just ain't right!!!

Get that thing going so I don't have to suffer

Cool Pictures!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Alright guys, i made you wait long enough. Here are some pics from the rebuild so far. To give you another update, got the motor in, didnt start, and then found that one of the valves was bent. So, the from the head up is back off again. Oh, there are some pics in here of my newly painted valve cover (diffrent color scheme) and some of the block being primerd. Oh, and of my tokicos.

Enjoy.

Bob

Nice Bob, I really dig the color scheme you are doing. Killer lookin red and black man. Kind of like my blue and silver scheme, I have yet to finish. Keep up the good work, and you are almost there bro'. Also great work on the suspension too!

Red face

Thanx for all the props guys. Means a lot, glad some of my work can get appreciated.

Well, the car is going back together...again...nicely. Finally figured out what the problem was. During the rebuilding process..V.1.0...the part on the oil pump shaft that runs off the crank, well, it was damaged in process. Dont really know how, but it moved, and was not creating any oil pressure, and was continually throwing my timing off, at least thats what the theory is. I have an extra pump shaft, so, i put the head on last night, and cranked it down. So, all thats left is to set the chain, and put the manifolds back on.

Lets all keep our fingers crossed and hope it fires tonight. Cuz i am going to see TOOL tomorow night, and am not going to touch the car again till saturday at the earliest.

Later Days,

Bob
