be wary of cheap machine shops, even if there dependable, even the good ones screw up.

you truly amaze me man.
I bet you could make a jet out of an *** scracher. You do a lot of reserch and tinkering don't you. well sounds like the fun has been paying off for you, well I don't have enough money for all that so all I am doing is shaving the head 30 thousanths, 3 angle valve job, flat top pistons standard diameter, 1mm head gasket and my stage 3 cam, with the header, and 60mm throtle valve.
I wish I could do more but cash is low and this is going to be a daly driver.

The msd boxes do work nice don't they. I put one on my friends mustang, and it really seemd to make a great diff. the car was a little more snape, the exaust didn't smell as rich, it was just a matter of better fire.

no indorsment, just like to get people cheap power. it seems to be hard to come by, msd imo makes some of the best products ive ever used. i put that stuff on everything i touch, plus i get great deals on it through my friends in the parts industry, i buy so much, i have buying power at the distributer.

If their only charging you 120.00 to port and polish the head, then it's a waste of money. They can't be doing much porting for that price. Porting takes a lot of time, and time equals money. Porting and polishing usually costs 500.00 to 2000.00 depending on how large the ports are going to be.
Balancing an engine is always a good thing. Doesn't usually add much HP, but it makes the engine last a lot longer, and the 2.8's don't have a good balance job out of the factory.
FYI, I can get your oversized pistons for the 2.8's in both cast and forged.

he zman read the afm thread i asked a q. im prolly taking out the motor this winter to have it balanced cause im kicking myself. they did a mild clearancing of the head just to help. i think they phoned you for the basics and they did a lot of reaserch on the net before the tools came out.
