Alternator rebuild kits

Alternator rebuild kits
I've been looking into rebuilding or replacing my alternator on my 82 280zx.
I've read the rebuilt units from AutoZone or Advance aren't as good as the OEM units.
I also wanted to improve the output of my alternator if possible.
I've learned the Hitachi units are not easily upgraded, so swapping it for another make is what some have done.
I found a alternator parts wholesaler that supplies parts for the Hitachi units.
I ordered everything, bearing, rectifier and HD regulator for around $50.
I know you can buy a rebuilt unit for about the same, but buying the parts I know what's been installed in the unit, plus I'm able to boost the output too.
The company name is Alternator & Starter Parts Wholesale @ Alternator & Starter Parts Wholesale
